Production

12th 28th June, Guildford Castle Gardens

Directed by Tom Littler
Designed by Neil Irish
Original Music compsed by Mary McAdam

Our 9th Open-Air Season kicked off with beautifully realised Victorian staging of Twelfth Night. Our biggest set to date at this venue was matched by largest ever open-air audience of 2501!

It was so lovely to re-visit this great play which we first staged back in 2007 (only our 2nd show!), and to welcome back actors like Morgan, Chris, Rhiannon and Richard. GSCs own Matt and Sarah reprised their 2007 roles of Malvolio and Maria.

"This young, vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic company is always worth watching, and its aim to make Shakespeare accessible and fun pays off with many who previously avoided the Bard being totally converted."

Creative Team

We're thrilled to welcome back the same team behind last summer's beautiful 5-star As You Like It for our 21st show: Director Tom Littler; Designer Neil Irish (Othello, Richard III, Merchant, Dream, Two Gents); whilst Resident Composer Mary McAdam (Romeo & Juliet, Much Ado, Love's Labour's Lost, Two Gents, Merchant, Dream) will be writing original music for the songs..

Stage Management

New faces behind the scenes, keeping us all on the straight and narrow, will be Production Manager Colin Newton and Deputy Stage Manager Christine Hollinshead. The wonderfully resourceful and ever-happy Kate Thompson joins us again as Assistant Stage Manager.

The fabulous Kerry Elkins will be audio-describing Twelfth Night, and the brilliant GSC Volunteers will be in place to welcome you once again.
